EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY – DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS
THE POSITION
Olney Friends School seeks a full-time Director of Admissions for the 2026-2027 academic year and beyond. The ideal candidate will have the ability, drive, and willingness to foster Olney Friends School’s culture. The Director of Admissions should embody the Olney Friends School’s values, have a passion for college preparatory Quaker education, and desire to publicize the school enthusiastically. The candidate will also be self-driven and possess the skills to formulate, nurture, and implement a bold admissions operational plan aligned with the Olney Friends School’s strategy.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS
- Experience in admissions in an independent school setting.
- Demonstrated sales and marketing experience.
- A leadership style that builds trust, respect, and a collaborative work environment.
- Ability to use admissions software.
- An undergraduate degree in any field. Applicants with other qualifications and relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience working with teenagers in an educational setting.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results (e.g., increased enrollment over time).
- Openness to Quaker spirituality, including scheduled, contemplative, and silent worship.
- Strong English writing and editing skills.
- Willingness to travel for admissions-related recruiting events.
OTHER DESIRED QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE
- Ability to work with international students and faculty.
- Experience working with and reporting to Boards and Board Committees.
- Fluency in a language other than English.
- Adaptability and resilience during times of extreme uncertainty.
Conditions of Employment
Successful candidates must satisfy all applicable legal requirements for employment, including required background checks. Faculty members who work directly with students must complete all required safeguarding training, maintain mandatory certifications required by School policy, and demonstrate a sustained commitment to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning community.
SALARY RANGE
US$40-43K per year.
