Summary/Objective:
Under the supervision of the Chief Development Officer, the Database Administrator is responsible for managing donor and volunteer databases, reconciling donor database gift entry with accounting records, distributing acknowledgment letters and setting up and maintaining departmental intranet structure utilizing Microsoft SharePoint.
Essential Functions:
- Manage data entry and donor/volunteer record management, ensuring accuracy, consistency and timeliness.
- Manage and enforce gift acknowledgement processes, ensuring timely and accurate recognition of all gifts.
- Respond to donor inquiries concerning gift history, receipts and other documentation.
- Provide routine maintenance and cleanup of donor and volunteer databases.
- Identify opportunities for systems integration to improve data quality, reduce data entry and increase cross-departmental collaboration.
- Coordinate and plan for future data conversions and upgrades as needed.
- Provide regular and ad hoc reporting to executives and development and finance departments.
- Provide support to staff by assisting with creation of reports, mailing and donor/volunteer lists and other projects.
- Collaborate with other staff members to analyze fundraising trends and results.
- Assess needs and promote training opportunities for all donor/volunteer database users.
- Ensure data entry policy and procedure documentation is current and implemented correctly.
- Set up and maintain departmental intranet structure utilizing Microsoft SharePoint.

Work Environment:

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time exempt position. The typical workweek is Monday – Friday with some evenings and weekends required.
Education, Experience and Attributes:
- Hands on experience in a donor database required, Salsa Labs, Blackbaud or Salesforce knowledge is preferred.
- Two years of experience in development department with a nonprofit organization.

Pay: $45,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
