Role Description
The YLC College Director of NYU will oversee and develop ministry efforts for Young Life College at New York University in Manhattan, NY. This full-time, on-site role includes responsibilities such as mentoring and training student leaders, spearheading program development and implementation, organizational planning, recruiting and training volunteers, and managing budgets. There is currently no YLC at NYU so this will be treated as a start up.
Qualifications
- Experience in Strategic Planning and Budgeting to develop and manage effective ministry initiatives and resources.
- Strong skills in Research and Program Development to design activities and experiences that engage college students meaningfully.
- Experience in Training and equipping student leaders and volunteers for roles in ministry and outreach.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to cultivate relationships and partnerships with diverse groups of individuals and organizations.
- Demonstrated passion for mentorship and supporting the spiritual growth of young adults.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience, with a background in ministry, education, or nonprofit leadership preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively and flexibly within a team to meet objectives and address challenges proactively.
- Experience with College ministry is preferred but not necessary.
- Experience with Young Life is preferred but not necessary.
