Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Workforce Development Specialist located in Charlottesville, VA. The Workforce Development Specialist will be responsible for providing career counseling, job placement support, and training services to clients. This includes assessing clients’ skills, developing personalized job plans, conducting workshops, and connecting clients with local businesses. The role also involves building relationships with employers and community partners to facilitate employment opportunities for clients.
Qualifications
- Experience in career counseling, job placement, and workforce development
- Skills in conducting client assessments and developing personalized job plans
- Ability to conduct training sessions and workshops
- Strong relationship-building skills with employers and community partners
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience working within non-profit organizations is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Social Work, Education, or related field
