Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Waukegan, IL, for a Teacher Development Coach. The Teacher Development Coach will work closely with teachers to support their professional growth and instructional effectiveness. Key responsibilities include conducting classroom observations, providing constructive feedback, designing and delivering professional development sessions, and leveraging data to guide instructional practices. Additionally, the role requires regularly collaborating with school leaders to align coaching efforts with school goals and improving student outcomes. Approximately 80% of the role will be in the field working with teacher residents and mentors.
Qualifications
- Strong instructional coaching skills, including classroom observation, constructive feedback, and mentorship abilities.
- Proficiency in developing and delivering professional development, and using data to inform teaching and learning strategies.
- Expertise in differentiated instruction, classroom management, and student engagement techniques.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to collaborate with educators and leadership teams effectively.
- Deep understanding of educational equity and a commitment to fostering whole-child success.
- Master’s degree in Education or related field preferred, with a valid teaching certification and at least 3 years of teaching experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to balance multiple tasks effectively.
- Experience in working with diverse student populations and high-need schools is a plus.

- Annual Salary Range $74,000 – $80,000
