Full-time Street Outreach Supervisor for the Nevada Homeless Alliance, a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
Schedule:
Full-Time – Thu-Sun 10am-8pm. Normally scheduled working hours may change periodically as it pertains to accommodating holidays, special events, training, and inclement weather.

Position Summary
The Street Outreach Supervisor is responsible for supervising and managing the daily activities of Street Outreach Workers, ensuring that outreach efforts are conducted effectively. This role includes completing required reports, data entry, and maintaining detailed records of outreach activities. The Supervisor will oversee the team’s performance, provide guidance and support, and coordinate with the Operations Director prior to addressing any concerns or initiating disciplinary actions.
Additionally, they will generate and submit regular outreach reports, ensuring accurate tracking of progress and success stories, while maintaining open communication with team members and stakeholders. The role will be carried out in alignment with the organization’s mission, policies, and guidelines, with specific projects assigned as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee street outreach efforts in coordination with the City of North Las Vegas (CNLV) Homeless Services Manager, CNLV Homeless Services Technician, and NHAs Operations and Executive Director.
- Supervise and manage the day-to-day activities of Street Outreach Workers, addressing any immediate concerns or correction as needed.
- Inform the Operations Director of any mid-level infractions via email before the end of the work day along with recommended corrective action.
- Immediately inform the Operations and/or Executive Director of any major infractions along with recommended disciplinary action.
- Actively engage with the unsheltered population, providing immediate resources and referrals to help individuals transition from homelessness to permanent housing.
- Maintain and manage detailed count sheets, providing daily summaries to the Street Outreach Supervisor and Technician.
- Provide a detailed daily outreach summary, including efforts and encounters, to the CNLV Manager and Technician by the end of each workday.
- Generate weekly and monthly outreach reports, including totals from the detailed count sheet, along with a success story highlighting impactful encounters that led to positive changes for unsheltered individuals.
- Maintain open communication with team members to ensure effective collaboration and information sharing.
- Assist in completing annual performance evaluations for Street Outreach Workers- alongside the Operations Director, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School Diploma or the equivalent (GED) is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with the unsheltered population and providing immediate resources and referrals is strongly preferred. However, individuals with lived experience of homelessness are encouraged to apply.
- Peer Support Specialist certification is preferred, or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
- Ability to interact with people of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds and passion for marginalized people and impatience with the status quo.
- Experience working with HMIS, Microsoft Word and Excel, and data entry is required. Other Microsoft programs are preferred.
- Bilingual ability (Spanish/English) is preferred.
