Justice At Last operates as a mobile practice, reaching survivors across multiple counties including Alameda, Contra Costa, Fresno, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Mateo, and Santa Clara. The organization also empowers survivors through specialized trainings designed to help transform their lives. Its vision is to ensure survivors can define justice on their own terms and thrive through it.
Role Description
The Social Justice Volunteer Ambassador is a volunteer position responsible for representing Justice At Last in community outreach and advocacy efforts. Responsibilities include engaging with local communities to raise awareness about human trafficking, assisting in executing public education campaigns, and supporting training initiatives for survivors. Additional tasks may involve coordinating events and helping with logistics. This is an in-person role based throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, with opportunities for remote work on some tasks.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and public speaking skills for engaging with diverse communities.
- Strong organizational and event-planning abilities to support outreach campaigns and coordinate activities.
- Awareness of social justice, human rights advocacy, and trauma-informed approaches.
- Passion for supporting survivors of human trafficking and commitment to Justice At Last’s mission and values.
- Flexibility to work both independently and in collaboration with a team in a hybrid environment.
- Previous experience in non-profit work, community engagement, or similar roles is preferred but not required.
