AccessCNY is looking for an engaging and compassionate Direct Support Professional (1:1 support staff) to work with a fun and eager male who lives Independently. We are looking for a proactive employee to provide person centered services and support to assist the individual with day to day activities, learning to communicate in meaningful ways, and enjoy recreational time at home and in the community. The ideal candidate will also have a lot of energy and patience and enjoy being outdoors and inside.
Responsibilities include:
· Promoting personal growth, wellness, and independence
· Supporting people to be more active in their community
· Encouraging self-advocacy and the development of support networks
Candidate must possess a keen sense of attention to detail, especially when electronically logging each day’s time, mileage, and service documentation. Internet access and a valid email address are required.
Hours and days of work
Up to 32 hours per week, weekdays.
Pay rate: $26-27 per hour, additionally $.72 per mile for transportation reimbursement
Location: Camillus, NY
Reliable transportation is required. Background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by non-profit agency. Please respond with resume or summary of experience. Full-time opportunities may be available.
