Promise Resource Network is a nonprofit survivor-led organization that disrupts illness-based approaches to mental health and substance use by understanding the impacts of trauma and supporting healing, wellness, and recovery.
About The Position
The Raleigh Recovery Hub Program Manager will oversee the operations and initiatives for the Wake County Recovery Café, Recovery Hub, and Harm Reduction programs. This position will provide critical leadership for both the organization and team’s success. Responsibilities include implementation of policies, tracking data, reporting analysis and trends, representing PRN in partnership meetings, leading efforts on program specific continuous process improvement/quality management initiatives, and supervising and mentoring team members. The role requires leadership and management skills with a strong understanding of PRN’s commitment to social justice and equity, and the principles and values that guide harm reduction, recovery, trauma-informed, and peer support efforts.

Responsibilities
- Program Management and Development: Ensure the Recovery Hub, Recovery Café, and Harm Reduction programs operate smoothly by meeting the needs of people supported in alignment with organizational strategic goals and objectives and overseeing all aspects of day-to-day program operations. Coordinate all aspects of Hub and Café programming including classes, crisis prevention and response, internal audits and records management, and ongoing program development.
- Team Leadership, Mentoring and Management: Recruit, interview, orient and lead team members, investing in their professional development through frequently scheduled supervision, real time mentoring, providing guidance, co-creation of written professional development plans, on-going training, and consistent opportunities to offer and receive feedback. Guide the team in effective decision-making by providing insights, analysis, and facilitating challenging discussions. Set clear performance expectations and goals with each team member, aligning them with departmental and organizational objectives. Provide regular feedback on performance, recognizing achievements and addressing areas for improvement.
- Service Monitoring: Track data and trends to determine program capacity and to ensure the program meets outlined standards and contract requirements. Establish program specific strategic plans outlining the program’s goals, objectives and approach to achieving the desired outcomes in alignment with PRN’s values.
- Resource Allocation: Manage the budget to ensure each program is functioning at peak performance within funding levels while meeting targeted goals and initiatives.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality of support is measured and tracked by collecting data, metrics, and creating reports for management to review and make recommendations in coordination with PRN’s Quality Assurance team. Support the development and implementation of administrative policies, procedures, and strategies to support the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Collaboration: Facilitate regular communication within programs and across programs to ensure that team members are informed, contribute, and work collectively across programs. Mediate conflicts between team members and other departments, address conflicts promptly and constructively, promote open communication and foster a collaborative environment, and aimed at improving working relationships. Work with the Regional Programs Director to continuously evaluate and improve each program and ensure policies and procedures are standardized and followed.
- Outreach and Advisory: Represent PRN through regularly scheduled meetings with community partners and funders and outreach to establish new allyship and partnerships
- Other Duties as Assigned: other responsibilities that arise and are assigned by the Regional Programs Director
Qualifications & Experience
- Current North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist or matching qualifications to obtain this certification within 3 months of hire.
- Current Recovery Coach certification or matching qualifications to obtain this certification within 3 months of hire.
- Lived experience of recovery from mental health, substance use, incarceration, or other traumas.
- Belief in the recovery potential of all people and is committed to the philosophy of peer support.
- Commitment to harm reduction principles and understanding of their application in reentry and recovery settings.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience facilitating groups or providing peer support is an asset.
- Ability to receive guidance, training, and mentoring to grow skills and knowledge.
- Demonstrates leadership by modeling PRN’s mission, values, philosophy, and guidance to team members.
- Demonstrates taking personal responsibility, being dependable, reliable, working as a team player, and utilizing personal determination skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with the public, providers, and other stakeholders.
- Committed to personal recovery and wellness and has a personal history of recovery and lived experiences in seeking and receiving crisis-based support.
- Ability to manage time and complete tasks.
- Knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentation.
- Demonstrate honesty, integrity, is ethical, and approachable.
- Must have a valid NC Driver’s license.

Salary: $65,000 – $85,000 per year
