Food Program Supervisor – Float

The Food Program Supervisor – Float holds equal standing with all Food Program Supervisors and plays a vital role in supporting Hopelink’s food programs through staffing and on-call coverage. This position is designed to “float” between food market locations as needed, including the Mobile Market and Harvest Program. While schedules are typically set in advance, flexibility is essential, day‑of changes may occur to meet coverage needs.

Adaptability and a collaborative spirit are key to thriving in this role. Paid training is provided, and responsibilities while covering a food market may include leading and working alongside volunteer staff to ensure smooth operations, receiving and sorting food deliveries and donations, restocking and organizing the food market and warehouse freezers and coolers, ordering fresh and non‑perishable food from multiple sources, maintaining inventory/budget and ensuring overall cleanliness of the market, and assessing client eligibility while offering appropriate referrals and information.

The Float Supervisor leads by example, modeling culturally responsive, client‑centered service and setting a welcoming tone for all food market guests.
