About the Role: BioHive (www.biohive.com) is a Utah-based nonprofit organization that

brands, builds and brings together one of the nation’s fastest growing life science industries.

BioHive is searching for a Program and Marcomm Coordinator who wants to take an active

role accelerating our branding and convening strategies AND be a key face of our

organization. We are seeking a polished and poised communicator that enjoys public

speaking who also has strong skills in written communications, web design, social media,

project management and event planning. We are a small team, so this person must also be

comfortable solving problems and making decisions. They must also be available for

occasional evening events. The Program and Marcomm Coordinator is an in-office role and

reports to our Executive Director.

Key Responsibilities

● Professionally representing BioHive at ecosystem events, which includes sharing what

our organization does and how people can get involved to formally on stage at the

front of the room to informal networking conversations. You’ll be talking with

everyone from a CEO to a university student.

● Helping curate high-value introductions between people and companies within our

ecosystem. For example, connecting service partners to the right person at a

company at the right time.

● Help to create, manage, and optimize content for the company’s newsletter, and

social media accounts and website.

● Produce engaging analog and digital marketing materials, such as strong writing and

graphical skills for social / web content plus filming and editing videos

● Collaborate with other team members to ensure cohesive branding and messaging.

● Internally monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and

activities, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

● Externally track trends to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.

● Coordinate in-person and virtual event logistics, including registration, venue, set-up,

transportation, accommodations, promotional materials, and post-event follow-up.

● Coordinate with volunteers and staff to ensure effective event operations and

seamless attendee experiences.

● Help coordinate with venues and suppliers.

● Prepare reports summarizing marcom outcomes, key achievements, and challenges.

● Prepare and maintain project documents, reports, and presentations.

● Coordinate with team members to ensure projects and timelines are on track.

● Help maintain office and community databases and systems.

Qualifications

● Demonstrable track record in public speaking and networking events.

● Comfortable networking with people in our ecosystem ranging from a CEO to a

university student.

● Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Strategic Marcomm, Event

Management or related field preferred.

● Experience in the life science industry is preferred.

● 2+ years of experience in project coordination, marketing, communications, or event

planning preferred.

● Demonstrated proficiency in Adobe Suite including Premiere video editing and

Illustrator, Google suite, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook),

Canva, Mailchimp, Luma, LinkedIn and Instagram.

● Experience with reporting and project management software, such as Meltwater,

Loomly, etc.

● Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to concisely tell a compelling

story through our website, socials and newsletter.

● Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.

● Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

● Excellent organizational and project management skills, including handling multi-

projects simultaneously.

● May require occasional evening or weekend work for events or project deadlines.

● Some in-state travel may be required for event coordination and project meetings.
