The President is the Chief Executive Officer of Notre Dame High School, Inc. and is responsible for providing overall leadership and direction in order to advance the mission of the school.
The President directs the public relations of the school and officially represents the school in the community, with organizations, and at meetings.
The President has general supervisory responsibility for school-related activities, projects, programs, and organizations.
Responsibilities:
Mission
- Provides a value based education in the Christian tradition, fostering respect, dignity, and integrity of persons in a faith community
- Guided by the spiritual and educational vision of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, who sponsor the school, the President is responsible for the religious tone, educational direction, and financial viability of the school
- Monitors the expression of Catholic identity in all facets of the school life in consultation with Principal
- Monitors the selection of personnel so that the values of those employed reflect the mission statement
Board Relations
- Serves as the principal liaison between the Board of Directors and the staff
- Presents timely reports to the Board of Directors concerning the administration of the school and projected needs
- Works with the Board of Directors, the Principal, Vice Principal for Student Affairs, Business Manager and appropriate constituencies to develop and implement the School’s strategic plan
- Serves as ex officio member of all Board committees
Development
- Coordinates all fund development efforts and fundraising activities
- Directs all initiatives in fundraising, annual giving, grant solicitation
- Supervises the work of the Advancement Office
- Monitors strategic and long-range planning and development goals
Public Relations
- Serves as primary representative and spokesperson for NDHS in all areas of public relations, including SSNDs, the media, and various corporate and community
- Develop and maintains relations with peer organizations and the media
- Directs an active public relations program to increase support and recognition for NDHS
Financial Management
- Ensures and oversees the preparation of the annual operational budget with input from the Administrative Team
- Delegates to the Business Manager the authority to hire, supervise, evaluate and dismiss all business office staff
- Monitors the progress of the capital campaign, including the collection and recording of pledges
- Protects all assets by ensuring proper insurance coverage and adequate security
- Oversees school policy regarding the administration of financial aid and scholarship
Human Resources
- Provides overall control and direction for management of the human resource system covering employees and volunteers
- Enforces compliance with personnel policies and procedures
- Reviews and monitors school personnel contracts
General Admission
- Ensures that all legal obligations of NDHS are met, including reports to all regulatory bodies and compliance with all legislation
- Implements all of the School’s administrative policies and procedures
- Manages school facilities and assumes responsibility for compliance with policies related to health and safety
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field such as education, non-profit management, etc.
- Practicing Catholic
- Minimum of five years in education, and three years in educational administration
- Demonstrated skills and experience in fundraising and Board development; marketing and public relations; and in staff and volunteer management

Pay: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
