Position: Peer Mentorship Advisor for Women
Empower visible minority women as a Peer Mentorship Career Advisor in Metro Vancouver. This hybrid role focuses on creating micro-mentorship opportunities for survivors of violence while fostering a supportive network.

The Survivors of Violence Hub seeks a full-time Peer Mentorship Career Advisor dedicated to assisting women and gender-diverse individuals overcoming trauma. You will provide essential micro-mentorship activities, enhancing networking skills and employment opportunities for newcomers. Collaboration with program participants and community outreach is vital for maximizing success and ensuring cultural relevance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate micro-mentorship activities for participants

• Connect participants with industry professionals and alumni

• Organize mentorship events, including mock interviews and workshops

• Conduct outreach to secure mentorship opportunities

• Track participant progress and maintain detailed records

Requirements:

• 1-2 years in Career Advising or Peer Mentoring

• Strong communication and event management skills

• Cultural competence and community outreach experience

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Knowledge of barriers faced by survivors of violence
