Position: Outreach Worker with The Salvation Army
Become a Street Outreach Worker with The Salvation Army, focusing on connecting community members to vital services. This role involves both direct client service and operational support in a food bank environment.
As a temporary full-time Outreach Worker, your duties will include conducting client assessments and efficiently managing community donations. You will contribute to ensuring that health and safety guidelines are met while helping individuals in need with resources and support services.
Your role will enhance community outreach and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in client assessment and intake processes
• Refer clients to pastoral services as necessary
• Document and organize food and toy inventory
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the food bank
• Properly dispose of items not fit for use
Requirements:
• Age requirement of 15 to 30 years old
• Completion of Grade 10 education
• Three months of experience in community service
• Computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office
• First Aid/CPR and food handling certifications beneficial
Support those in need while gaining valuable skills in community outreach and service coordination.
