Converse County Aging Services is looking for an experienced, strategic, and compassionate Executive Director to lead our

organization and help shape its future.

This is a high-level executive leadership position. We are looking for someone who can see the big picture, lead people, understand financial and operational information, work effectively with a Board of Directors, navigate compliance and funding requirements, and build strong community relationships.

The Executive Director will work closely with the CCAS Management Board, Converse County Senior Citizen District Board and CCAS leadership team to ensure the organization remains strong, sustainable, accountable, and focused on its mission of serving older adults throughout Converse County.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Provide strategic leadership aligned with CCAS’s mission, vision, and long-term goals.
  • Partner with the Board of Directors on governance, strategic planning, organizational priorities, and accountability.
  • Lead and support the organization’s leadership team.
  • Provide high-level oversight of operations across Douglas and Glenrock.
  • Build a workplace culture based on teamwork, communication, accountability, and respect.
  • Oversee organizational compliance, risk management, policies, contracts, and service agreements.
  • Work closely with Finance & Administration leadership to understand budgets, financial reports, grant funding, cash flow, and financial sustainability.
  • Support responsible stewardship of public and grant funds.
  • Work with program leadership to ensure services meet community needs.
  • Build relationships with community partners, funding agencies, donors, volunteers, and stakeholders.
  • Serve as a visible ambassador and advocate for CCAS and older adults throughout Converse County.
  • Develop leaders and strengthen organizational systems for the future.

THIS IS AN EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP ROLE

We’re not looking for someone who simply wants to manage a department.

We’re looking for a leader who can lead the organization.

You should be comfortable:

  • Thinking strategically and planning for the future.
  • Making difficult decisions when necessary.
  • Understanding financial reports, budgets, and organizational finances.
  • Leading and developing other leaders.
  • Working with a Board of Directors.
  • Managing risk, compliance, funding, and organizational priorities.
  • Building trust and strong relationships throughout the community.
  • Holding yourself and others accountable while maintaining a positive culture.
  • Representing CCAS professionally throughout Converse County.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Human Services, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Experience managing teams, budgets, and organizational operations.
  • Nonprofit, senior services, healthcare, community services, or public administration experience is preferred.
  • Equivalent leadership experience may be considered.

excellent communication, and a genuine commitment to serving our community.

COMPENSATION and BENEFITS

Starting salary: $80,000 annually, with consideration given to experience and qualifications.
