ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you ready to make a meaningful impact on the lives of both young students and older adults? Perfect Pair, a national 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to fostering one-on-one intergenerational connections, is looking for a National Program Director. As the driving force behind our expansion, you'll be a key player in helping guide the development of our organization, supporting chapters across universities in the US and managing the expansion of our external partners. We're searching for a self-motivated and innovative individual interested in nonprofit leadership and a commitment to intergenerational connection. Working closely with our National Team, you'll assist in the oversight of college chapters and volunteers, and report directly to the Executive Director.
ABOUT PERFECT PAIR
Stationed at college campuses across the country, Perfect Pair matches college students one-on-one with older adults, primarily residents at assisted living communities, to form a “perfect pair.” These pairs are created based on shared interests, hobbies, and personalities. Pairs meet once a week regularly in an effort to combat loneliness and improve wellbeing in students and older adults alike.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Oversee national leadership team, making sure scheduling, task management, and deliverables are in order and on track
- Lead growth of organization to establish new chapters at universities and collaborate with communities
- Cultivate strategic partnerships and collaborations with local community and national partner stakeholders
- Monitor grant and funding guidelines in collaboration with the Director of Community Engagement and the Director of Finance
- Ensure effectiveness and efficiency of communication with chapters and program partners
- Develop and execute leadership strategy
- Maintain and enforce an awareness of the laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Exceptional leadership, time management, communication and organizational skills
- Motivation to bring new ideas to projects with an investment in seeing results
- Highly effective in teamwork, collaborating with others to reach shared goals and outcomes
- Strong problem-solving abilities that allow for innovative solutions to overcome challenges
- Effective communication to give constructive feedback and disseminate information coherently through email and messaging
- Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ years of experience with assisted living or nonprofit work similar to Perfect Pair
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- While not mandatory, the following qualifications will set you apart:
- Knowledge of the non-profit industry
- Knowledge of writing and submitting grants
- Management experience
- Experience with assisted living communities or with older adults
- Passion for building intergenerational relationships
BENEFITS AND COMPENSATION
- This remote role offers flexibility, with the opportunity to set your own schedule with approximately 40 hours per week
- *Asynchronous, with some required meetings on evenings and weekends
- Salary: $50,000 / year base salary
- Bonus structure tied to grant acquisition, with percentage-based compensation for funds secured
- Insurance stipend: $5,000 / year
- Paid time off and holiday pay
