Full Job Description
This part-time position will be every Wednesday 8:00M-12:00PM (Child Watch), Friday 9:00AM-1:00PM (Member Services) and temporarily Saturday 11:00AM-6:00PM (Child Watch). This person must be able to fill opening and closing shift as needed.

GENERAL FUNCTION:
Under the general direction of the Front Desk Manager, Member Services Staff will provide timely, friendly, accurate customer service to anyone walking to or calling in to the front desk. Staff will be responsible for accurately registering program participants and taking payments, maintaining accurate member records, selling merchandise, and completing clerical tasks as directed. Child watch staff provide supervision and interaction with the children of members and program members during the time they are participating in YMCA activities.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· Must be responsible and dependable.
· Must be a team player.
· Must communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
· Must be able to read with a high level of comprehension and express oneself accurately through written words.
· Must have basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and fractions.
· Must be able to make change accurately.
· Must be comfortable engaging people of all ages from a variety of backgrounds.
· Must have basic computer skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Greet members and visitors in a friendly, engaging manner.
· Give tours and turn in complete, accurate forms.
· Quote accurate prices for memberships, programs, and merchandise.
· Accurately register membership and program participants.
· Maintain an accurate bank.
· Perform a variety of clerical duties.
· Perform light housekeeping duties.
· Keep the front desk area neat and orderly.
· Follow all operating procedures as outlined by supervisor.
· Ensure parents/guardians sign in and out on a daily basis.
· Interact with children at all times.
· Cultivate and maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers and parents.
· Create and maintain a safe and attractive learning environment.
· Expand job knowledge and classroom skills on an ongoing basis.
