Job Title: Program Coordinator

Full Time: 40 hours per week-Exempt

Compensation: $42,000 – 45,000/year plus benefits

Job Location: Hybrid, remote, and in-office work. Some presence at our offices at 5021 Adkins Ave., St. Louis will be required.  

Job Summary: Position will serve as a coordinator in the adult and youth ESL programs. Responsibilities include working and communicating with volunteers and students in the programs, coordinating student and teacher matches, training volunteers, data entry and event support. Responsibilities will be coordinated and supervised by the Director of Programs and Policy. This is a grant-funded position through 2028 and is contingent on the renewal of funds at that time, and/or additional development efforts. 

Primary Duties:

● Facilitates matches between students and volunteer tutors

● Maintains up-to-date student assessments

● Conducts volunteer trainings and support sessions as needed

● Updates and maintains program database (Airtable)

● Connects students to other resources, as needed

● Supports volunteer recognition and student events

● Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

● Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on phone calling and working with diverse cultural backgrounds

● Strong organizational ability

● Task-oriented with ability to switch focus as needed

● Commitment to organizational values

● Some evenings and weekends required

● Driver’s License and reliable transportation is required

● Proficiency in Google Suite and ability to learn program database

● ESL teaching background preferred, but not required

● Second language ability helpful, but not required
