Position Summary

The Marketing & Communications Manager supports the development and execution of Care For the Homeless' marketing and communications efforts to increase awareness of the organization's mission, programs, fundraising initiatives, events, and community impact.

Reporting to the Chief Development & Communications Officer, this position assists in the development and production of digital and print marketing materials, organization communications, fundraising collateral, website content, email marketing, publications, and promotional campaigns. The Marketing & Communications Manager collaborates closely with the Development and Communications Teams to ensure messaging is consistent across all communication channels while supporting the successful implementation of integrated communications initiatives.

Marketing & Communications

· Assist in the development and implementation of marketing and communications plans that support organizational priorities.

· In collaboration with the CDCO and Communications team, develop, edit, and coordinate digital and print marketing and communications materials and assets.

· Support the development of integrated communications that promote fundraising initiatives, events, volunteer engagement, advocacy efforts, corporate partnerships, and organizational programs.

· Assist in maintaining and strengthening Care For the Homeless' brand identity by ensuring consistency in messaging, tone, visual standards, and organizational voice across all communications.

· Help maintain and organize brand assets, templates, and style guidelines to ensure consistency across departments and external communications.

Content Development

· In collaboration with the Communications team, write, edit, and proofread a variety of communications, including newsletters, email campaigns, website content, annual reports, brochures, fact sheets, presentations, donor communications, event materials, and promotional collateral.

· Create, update and monitor website content ensuring information is accurate, timely, and aligned with organizational priorities.

· Assist in gathering stories, testimonials, photography, video, and program information that highlight the impact of Care For the Homeless' mission and services.

· Coordinate the development and production of video content that showcases organizational programs, patient and client stories, fundraising campaigns, events, and community impact, working with internal staff and external vendors as needed.

· Support the planning, scripting, and coordination of video interviews, promotional videos, and other multimedia storytelling initiatives.

Digital & Print Communications

· Assist with website content updates and ongoing maintenance.

· Coordinate email marketing campaigns and digital communications.

· Support the production of printed publications, marketing materials, signage, and promotional collateral.

· Coordinate with photographers, videographers, graphic designers, printers, and other external vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality communications materials.

Campaign & Event Support

· Assist with communications supporting fundraising campaigns, special events, volunteer initiatives, and community outreach.

· Prepare promotional materials and communication assets for organizational events and campaigns.

· Support post-event communications, stewardship, and impact reporting.

· Design and development of CFH swag items and other promotional materials.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field required.

· Minimum of five years of experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, preferably in the nonprofit or healthcare sector.

· Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.

· Experience creating both digital and print communications.

· Familiarity with website content management systems and email marketing platforms.

· Experience in video production and video content development.

· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

The position is expected to attend designated Care For the Homeless events outside of standard business hours (9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.) as needed, including evenings and occasional weekends. The role also requires participation in meetings, presentations, and events, as well as travel to Care For the Homeless program sites, partner organizations, and event locations throughout all five boroughs of New York City.
