Marketing And Communications Officer Jobs in Yerevan, Armenia at Health For Armenia
Title: Marketing And Communications Officer
Company: Health For Armenia
Location: Yerevan, Armenia
Health For Armenia (HFA) is a pioneering nonprofit startup dedicated to transforming healthcare in Armenia. We are looking for a creative, technically skilled, and strategically minded Marketing and Communications Officer to join our Advancement team. This is a hands-on creative and communications role for someone who can produce high-quality content across multiple channels, own the visual identity of our communications, and bring fresh, campaign-ready ideas to life.
This role requires someone who is proactive, not reactive. Someone who monitors trends, pitches ideas, and brings campaigns to near-final state independently. You will be expected to demonstrate all of this through a strong portfolio of previous work before joining.
Job responsibilities
Creative Design, Video & Visual Identity (40%)
- Produce graphics and visual assets for campaigns, events, fundraising appeals, donor communications, and organizational collateral (end-to-end, with minimal back-and-forth).
- Maintain visual consistency with brand guidelines across all outputs and channels.
- Design print and digital materials including reports, presentations, flyers, and social assets.
- Conceptualize, produce, and edit short-form video content (Reels, stories, campaign clips) that is on-trend, well-paced, and visually polished.
- Source or coordinate footage, add captions/subtitles, music, and motion graphics as needed.
Social Media & Channel Growth (35%)
- Own the organization’s social media presence with a growth mindset, not just posting content, but actively working to expand reach, followers, and engagement.
- Monitor platform trends, analyze what performs, and proactively adjust the content approach.
- Write compelling, on-brand captions, social copy, and short-form content that connects with our donor and supporter audience.
- Plan, execute, and optimize Google Ads, Google Ad Grants, and social media advertising campaigns, leveraging data and audience behavior to maximize impact and campaign performance.
- Draft copy for campaigns with an understanding of nonprofit storytelling and donor psychology.
Website Management (25%)
- Own day-to-day website updates, edits, and content publishing.
- Ensure pages are current, accurate, and visually aligned with active campaigns and appeals.
- Flag and coordinate any technical issues with relevant vendors or developers.
Required qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in communications, marketing, creative, or content-related roles, preferably within the nonprofit or mission-driven sector.
- University degree, ideally in a relevant field, is an asset.
- Demonstrated portfolio of managed social media channels with measurable growth or engagement results.
- Strong graphic design skills with a portfolio demonstrating clean, purposeful, on-brand work.
- Proficiency in Canva (advanced level) and at least one professional design or video editing tool (VEED, CapCut, or equivalent).
- Hands-on experience with AI creative tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Firefly, Descript, CapCut AI) and the judgment to use them well.
- Experience managing and updating websites (WebFlow experience is an advantage).
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (Mailchimp, Givebutter, or similar).
- Strong eye for detail, layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with a high level of autonomy.
- Genuine care for mission-driven work.
Portfolio Requirement
A portfolio is required to be considered for this role. We want to see demonstrated, real-world work, not concepts or mockups.
Your portfolio can include any of the following:
- Social media pages or accounts you have managed with visible results in growth, engagement, or campaign performance.
- Campaign content you have created end-to-end (design, copy, and/or video).
- Examples of newsletters, donor communications, or email campaigns.
- Any other work that shows your range: reports, event materials, reels, motion graphics.
- Please be prepared to speak to the strategy behind your work, not just the aesthetics. We want to understand how you think, not just what you can produce.
