Job Summary
Qualifies, engages, solicits, and stewards major gift prospects with a capacity of $100k to meet established performance metrics and financial targets.
Builds and maintains a portfolio of 100 prospects with a capacity of $100k+.
Takes a leadership role in identifying, screening, rating major gift prospects, and developing strategies to realize their current and lifetime giving potential.
Gains a comprehensive understanding of the priorities of the assigned area and Corewell Health East.
Essential Functions
Works with assigned services under the guidance of the Senior Director of Major Gifts, collaborating with physicians and administrators to identify funding needs and develop fundraising strategies.
Ensures all gifts from assigned donors are acknowledged promptly and stewardship reports are generated with updates on supported programs.
Develops and executes plans to recruit, train, and activate volunteer fundraising leaders, managing volunteer committees and providing necessary support.
Works closely with the Senior Director to include planned giving considerations in prospect management processes.
Participates in campaign strategy development and current campaign tasks as part of the campaign team.
Records contact reports and updates prospect information in Blackbaud CRM, providing timely updates in Major Gifts Meetings.
Supports prospect research by providing relevant information to the Research Department.
Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information regarding patients, physicians, and employees.
Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years of relevant experience, including work in the non-profit sector and major gift fundraising.
Proven success working with sophisticated volunteers and committees.
Strong record of closing six- and seven-figure gifts.
Preferred
Master’s Degree
Fundraising Certification
Experience with capital campaigns
Experience in healthcare fundraising
