Instructor I

We’re looking for enthusiastic, dependable, and energetic individuals to join our Recreation & Parks team! Instructors work directly with participants to create a safe, fun, and engaging environment while leading activities, encouraging participation, and serving as positive role models. Responsibilities include supervising participants, assisting with games and activities, maintaining a safe program environment, helping with setup and cleanup, attending staff training, and working as part of a team to provide a high-quality recreation experience.

This position works afternoons, evenings, and weekends, depending on schedule and availability. Hours are flexible, up to 19 per week.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Enjoys working with children and participants of all ages.
  • Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn.
  • Has or will obtain CPR/FA certification.

Compensation

This position is Grade 1 of the Town’s Part Time-Pay Plan with an hourly range of $15.00 to $15.92 based upon qualifications and experience.
