Communities for People (CFP) is a non-profit agency serving youth and families through community-based programs and services. You will be instrumental in helping youth and families achieve permanency, independence and integration into the community. JOB SUMMARY: To oversee recruitment of Foster Families, develop recruitment materials and participate in community based and state foster care and adoption initiatives. This role is front facing and centers around building relationships through recruitment while supporting prospective foster families, engaging the community, and establishing safe and sustainable homes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Recruitment:
- Develop and implement yearly recruitment plans to increase the number of licensed foster and adoptive families.
- Recruitment campaigns and marketing efforts will be reviewed and updated every 6 months.
- Community partnerships will be established and maintained through quarterly communications.
- Work to identify and successfully license 3-5 resource families per calendar year.
- Coordinate recruitment materials, social media content, and marketing campaigns in conjunction with the development department.
- Represent the agency at recruitment events, resource fairs, and community activities.
- Respond promptly (within 48hrs) to inquiries from prospective foster parents through phone, email, and online platforms.
- Collaborate with licensing, case management, and leadership staff to improve recruitment and retention efforts.
Foster Parent Support:
- Conduct initial screenings of prospective foster families and provide information regarding foster care requirements and expectations.
- Coordinate informational meetings and orientation sessions.
- Guide prospective families through the application and licensing process and register families for pre-service training and monthly in-service training.
- Trained in and conduct SAFE home studies and recerts.
- Co-Lead MAPP Foundations once per year.
- Lead recognition and appreciation efforts year round.
- Assist in identifying support needs and resources for prospective and current foster parents (training opportunities, community resources, etc).
- Coordinate and work in conjunction with other agencies to identify available family resources.
CQI:
- Track recruitment activities and maintain accurate records within agency databases.
- Analyze recruitment data and prepare monthly reports on outreach efforts and outcomes.
- Demonstrate how recruitment trends affect placement capacity
- Incorporating staff in recruitment efforts to provide a better understanding of challenges and trends
- Provide date as requested to support program operations.
Administrative:
- Participate in agency meetings, training, and professional development activities.
- Maintain accurate and required documentation in accordance with agency, state and accreditation standards.
- Always maintain and possess functional communication devices when transporting clients
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA/BS in related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish- preferred).
- Demonstrated presence of public speaking and event organizing
- Relationship-building and networking skills
- Ability to engage with diverse populations with professionalism and cultural sensitivity.
- Strong writing and interpersonal skills
- Organizational and time management skills.
- Marketing Experience (preferred)
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record and personal vehicle
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
EXPERIENCE:
- 1-3 years in foster care recruitment, communications or marketing
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $54,000.00 – $57,000.00 per year
