About the Executive Director position
Mobile Health Care Association (MHA) seeks an experienced and visionary leader to support and expand the Association during this rapidly changing time in mobile healthcare. This is a unique opportunity for growth in the sector given major investments in mobile healthcare via the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP) and future policy and funding changes to state Medicaid programs in response to the One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
The ideal candidate has a growth mindset and a strong commitment: to serving members, staff, the Board, key partners, and individuals and families nationwide who rely on mobile health care.
MHA is valued and respected by members for its high‑quality educational opportunities, knowledge sharing, relevant communication such as grant and funding opportunities and policy changes, a robust annual conference, and trusted guidance around the mobile healthcare industry.
The Executive Director (ED) serves as the chief executive officer of MHA, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight to advance the mission and sustainability of the organization. This is a hands‑on leadership role in a small but growing nonprofit, requiring effective collaboration with key staff, including the Senior Program Manager and Senior Communications Manager.
The ED leads fundraising, financial management, strategic partnerships, governance, and high‑level organizational development. The role also includes responsibility for driving organizational vision, aligning program impact with strategy, and ensuring effective board engagement and staff leadership.
This is a special opportunity for an experienced leader to build on a solid foundation of success and sustainability and deepen and broaden the impact for which MHA is so well known. The new leader will be rooted in health care and will engage policy experts, industry leaders, and advocate on behalf of its members. They will empower and amplify the staff and Board, ultimately having an impact on the health and well‑being of individuals and families across the United States.
