Summary:
The Events Specialist, reporting to the Manager of Events, is responsible for supporting the Events team strategy by executing on the initiatives and programs that relate to events at Children’s Health and in support of Corporate Partnerships managed by the Corporate Partnerships team in Marketing. This position will work on the execution and logistics of organizational events that celebrate our employees, patients, and care providers. Working in partnership with leaders in HR / Marketing / Communications / Operations / Foundation to support our mission of making life better for children.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a member of the Events team; support the development and adoption of best practices, training, and high standards of excellence across all events
Develop and execute event logistics, working on contract management with Sr. Specialist and Manager and timelines for all events at Children’s Health
Support the vision and execution of large-scale events for our employees and patient families
Evaluate overall success of events by helping identify redirection opportunities, provide analytics for results, and share recommendations for the future
Works closely and collaborates with the Corporate Sponsorship team and the Foundation for event activations to support sponsorships and donations at Children’s Health campuses
Manage the relationship with external vendors in support of large organizational events
Works with Manager and Sr. Specialist to ensure the communication, marketing, and digital needs for organizational events are impactful and effective
Work with internal stakeholders to identify methods for continuously enhancing the employee experience and engagement
Helps recruit and manage internal volunteers / staff volunteers for large format events; cultivate relationships to keep strong volunteer support with both system leaders and team members
Keep up with event industry best practices and report back to the events team any learnings to apply to Children’s Health events
Daily Operations:
Reports directly to Manager of Events
Support the vision of Children’s Health events for our employees and patient families by developing and executing event logistics to support our system’s business goals
Key partners with this function and role include HR, Marketing, Communications, Operations, Physician Organization, Foundation.
WORK EXPERIENCE
At least 4 years experience planning and working on events for a non-profit or corporation Required
EDUCATION
Four-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience In marketing; communications; journalism; hospitality or equivalent Required
