About the Role:

The Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Domestic Violence & Supportive Housing program to include:
Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) Rapid Re-Housing projects (RRH);
Fairfax County Domestic Violence Services Bridging Affordability and Transitional Housing projects;
Domestic Violence & Supportive Housing Community Coordination;
Domestic Violence HomelessPreventionproject, and Domestic Violence Employment Specialist Services. The Director collaborates with the Assistant Director of Rapid Re-Housing Services and the Assistant Director of Community Housing to oversee all areas of service delivery, program development, and implementation for Domestic Violence & Supportive Housing projects. Incollaborationwith the Senior Director of Domestic Violence and Supportive Housing for Domestic Violence Services, the Director will partner with Fairfax County’s Domestic and Sexual Violence Services (DSVS) and Fairfax County’s Office to Prevent and End Homelessness (OPEH) and community agencies to contribute to and promote a coordinated community response to serving victims of domestic and sexual violence.

Working as part of Shelter House’sLeadershipTeam, the Director develops strategies to accomplish program goals in accordance with agency philosophy and values.

How you will contribute

Provideleadership, direction, and oversight for all components of service delivery for DVSH projects.

Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Rapid Re-Housing Services and the Assistant Director of Community Housing Services to ensure the case management team implements a trauma-informed, client-driven approach in all facets of daily work.

Support staff in making decisions regarding complex cases that demand higher-level solutions; provide support as needed to address and resolve client grievances.

Oversee ongoing program evaluation, needs assessments, andclient satisfactionactivities.

Provide coaching and development support to direct reports through regularly scheduled one-on-one meetings and evaluations; coordinatetraining and developmentfor all staff.

Coordinate and oversee office maintenance; manage contractors and vendors providing supplemental services to ensure the facility’s compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Support the Community Coordinator in the onboarding, managing, and coordination of volunteers and donations.
