Role Description This full-time Driver role is an on-site position based in St. Louis, MO. The Driver will be responsible for safely operating trucks to pick up and deliver food and supplies to partner agencies, program sites, and community locations. Daily tasks include loading and unloading vehicles, verifying delivery documentation, performing basic vehicle inspections, and maintaining clean and organized trucks. The role involves interacting with partner agencies, donors, and community members, providing courteous service and representing OFS professionally. The Driver will collaborate with warehouse and program staff to support efficient food distribution and timely deliveries.

Qualifications

  • Strong truck driving skills with experience operating commercial vehicles, including proficiency with Truck operation.
  • Valid CDL Class A license and a clean driving record, with knowledge of relevant safety regulations.
  • Effective Communication skills to coordinate with team members, agencies, and donors.
  • Customer Service skills to provide respectful, professional interactions with partners and community members.
  • Ability to perform basic vehicle inspections, routine maintenance checks, and safely handle loading/unloading.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail in following routes, schedules, and documentation procedures.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes and pallets of food, and work in warehouse and outdoor environments.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in nonprofit, logistics, or delivery driving is a plus.
