The Diversion Specialist serves as the first point of connection for individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability in the greater Norwich, CT community. This position conducts CAN assessments, develops individualized diversion plans, connects individuals with housing and community resources, and documents services in HMIS. The Diversion Specialist works independently, and the goals are to build trust with clients and community partners, and help individuals identify safe alternatives to emergency shelter.
