The Manhattan Area Resettlement Team (MART) seeks a skilled Development Coordinator to join our team on a part-time, contract basis. This role is instrumental in supporting MART’s fundraising and outreach efforts, enhancing our community and donor relationships, and managing our development initiatives. The Development Coordinator will report directly to the MART Director and will assist in executing the strategic plan for securing new funding sources and maintaining existing donor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fundraising and Development:o Assist in the creation and implementation of fundraising campaigns.o Coordinate and manage fundraising events and activities.o Develop and maintain relationships with donors and sponsors.o Prepare grant applications and manage deadlines.2. Donor Communications:o Develop and distribute fundraising materials and communications.o Maintain regular communication with donors through newsletters, reports, and personal contacts.o Manage the donor database to ensure accuracy and completeness of all donor information.3. Reporting and Documentation:o Assist in preparing reports on fundraising activities and outcomes.o Monitor and report on the progress of development projects.o Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws in fundraising activities.4. Collaboration:o Work closely with other team members to integrate fundraising strategies with other organizational activities.o Participate in regular team meetings and provide updates on development activities.
IV. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field.• Proven experience in fundraising or development roles, preferably within a nonprofit environment.• Strong organizational and project management skills.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
