Coordinator of Foundation Affairs Jobs in Tallahassee, Florida, USA at Association TRENDS
The Florida Dental Association (FDA), a large statewide professional association, seeks a Foundation Coordinator for the FDA Foundation. Qualified candidates will be detail-oriented, possess excellent organizational and project management skills, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, and are proficient in the Microsoft Office suite. Expectations also include excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and a professional demeanor. Experience with fundraising and grant writing is preferred.

Duties and responsibilities:
Support the FDA Foundation’s mission statement and strategic plan
Assist the Foundation Director with general foundation activity
Help to schedule and prepare for meetings
Assist with professional correspondence
Assist with expense reports and purchase orders
Manage distribution of year-end tax letters and various mailings to donors
Provide phone back-up support to the FDA receptionist, when needed
Assist with planning and execution of the FDA Foundation’s signature program, Florida Mission of Mercy – includes program logistics, volunteer management, and financial recordkeeping.
Assist with the management of the Project:
Dentists Care program
Coordinate the PDC grant program – application, grant review process, and distribution of grant funds
Manage grant reporting process
Coordinate the application review and distribution of FDA Foundation Emergency Disaster Grants
Assist with grant applications, management of program grants, and grant reporting
Maintain database records for current and prospective donors
Support the development and planning of fundraising events and activities
Requirements:
Position requires more advanced organizational skills and the ability to organize projects and the work of others.
An understanding of nonprofit organizational structure, board relations, and volunteer management is preferred but not required
Excellent writing and public speaking skills
Proven organizational and multi-tasking skills with an ability to prioritize workloads
Able to work collaboratively with other staff members and volunteers
Be able to work independently and monitor your own performance objectives
Able to meet people with ease, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate both individuals and groups
Requires computer proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (particularly Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel)
Required travel is estimated to be less than 5%. Includes, but is not limited to, one week each spring for the Florida Mission of Mercy and five days in June for the Florida Dental Convention.
Physical Demands:
Regular job duties are performed under typical office conditions but also include the ability to perform extensive standing, walking, and lifting of items up to 25 lbs.
