Role Description
This is a full-time Client Accountant position with a hybrid work arrangement based in Lahore, allowing a combination of in-office and remote work. The Client Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting tasks, including invoicing, maintaining financial records, and utilizing accounting software to deliver reliable financial reports for our nonprofit clients. The role also involves regular communication with clients to provide updates, address inquiries, and ensure client satisfaction within the finance and accounting processes.
What You'll Do
- Own month-end and year-end close for multiple clients (A/P, A/R, payroll).
- Prepare monthly balance sheets and cash reconciliations; track daily cash activity and record receipts, receivables, and journals.
- Maintain funding/AR logs; troubleshoot invoice and payment status with client A/P teams.
- Perform bank reconciliations and follow up on outstanding checks and reconciling items.
- Reconcile and true-up funding vs. actual expenditures.
- Prepare and review properly documented journal entries; manage accruals and accrual schedules.
- Build budgets and forecasts as needed; produce recurring financial reports with clear narratives.
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase accuracy and speed.
- Ensure compliance with internal audit standards and client accounting services review protocols.
- Support auditors and partner effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Take on special projects as requested by managers or clients.
What You’ll Bring
Must-Haves
- 4+ years of total experience with at least 2+ years of experience in outsourced/client accounting.
- QuickBooks Online skills (bank feeds, rules, classes, projects, advanced reporting, clean-ups).
- Strong English communication skills for client meetings, emails, and documentation.
- Robust command of accounting principles across A/P, payroll, cash management, and reconciliations.
- High attention to detail, excellent organization, and the ability to work both independently and in a team.
- Ability to adapt to hybrid work settings and collaborate effectively with a team.
- Professional discretion with confidential information.
Preferred
- Professional credential (ACCA, ICAEW, CA, or equivalent).
- Prior experience in a similar role, especially working with nonprofits, is a plus.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software and strong understanding of core Accounting principles.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing (advanced Excel/Google Sheets a plus).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: 180,000–230,000 PKR per month.
- Medical Insurance: OPD (including dental and mental health) + hospitalization for self and family/parents.
- CPD Allowance: 1,000 USD per year.
- Fuel/Shift Allowance: 10,000 PKR per month.
- Retention Bonus: 10% of annualized salary on work anniversary.
- Annual Performance Bonus: 10% of annualized salary at the start of each year, tied to excellent performance.
