Job Description
This is an Operational Senior-level role.
The CEO is responsible for capacitating the organisation through programmes, fundraising initiatives as well as by partnering with the relevant communities.
Fundraising.
Operational matters.
Business Growth.
Policy formulation.
Stakeholder relations.
Drive forward our ambition under the global strategy to achieve disability transformative programmes and courageous local, national, regional and global influencing for maximum impact.
Roles and Responsibilities
The CEO is expected to interact with and engage internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of his/her function.
Member organisations
The Board and Exco
Stakeholders: Partners, Collaborators etc
Government Departments
PWD Communities
Private companies Funders/ Investors
Fundraising: An important and critical aspect of this role is the fundraising component.
An ability to lobby funds, donations and demonstration of impeccable financial acumen is a mandatory pre-requisite
Policy formation
Capacitate policy and lobbying with government and other relevant stakeholders.
Advocacy
Form alliances with pertinent stakeholders and partners.
Engage PWD Communities through relevant employment creation programmes

Qualifications And Requirements
Qualification
Matric, tertiary education a bonus
Valid Driver’s Licence
Relevant NGO experience a MUST
Experience
At least 10 years’ relevant experience of which at least 5 years have been at an equivalent Senior or Executive level within an NGO
Demonstrates a sound understanding of the NGO CEO requirements.
Soundtrack record in effectively managing complex and sensitive stakeholder engagements at all levels.
