Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Executive Assistant supports the Executive Director in all aspects of his duties. The right person will be confident, a critical thinker, and well organized.
The responsibilities of the Executive Assistant include, but are not limited to tracking projects and deadlines, managing the ED’s calendar, scheduling meetings, briefing the Executive Director on all relevant information, supporting organization-wide communication, preparing documents and reports for the board, program managers, and others.
Education, Training, and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role, supporting leadership with administrative and organizational duties. Experience in non-profit programming and management is preferred.
Skill / Knowledge / Abilities
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Demonstrate good decision-making skills.
· Professional communicator who is organized and can work both independently and collaboratively.
· Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing situations, and be flexible in their schedule.
· Demonstrate the ability to receive constructive feedback as part of the performance management culture at OHRA
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Regularly sits at a computer station and operates electronic equipment.
· Frequently lifts, carries and positions objects weighing up to 30 pounds when moving supplies.
· Typically stands, bends, stoops, and crouches.
· Regularly moves about the facility to coordinate work.
Physical Requirements:
Sitting 70 %, walking 20 %, standing 10%. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. bending at the waist.
Work Environment
- Office is in a resource center and emergency shelter;
- A safe work environment that includes intermittent interactions with unhoused individuals who may be struggling with mental health and substance use challenges.
- Exposure to fluorescent lights / Occasional exposure to temperature changes / Stairs
Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour
