Job Description
This position is a VOLUNTEER/UNPAID role
Timeline: May 18 – August 9
Time commitment: 3-5 hours per week for 12 weeks, with the possibility to extend it longer or as a permanent volunteer position if there is mutual interest.
The primary function of this position is to conduct research and write original research papers as it applies to assistive technology, including but not limited to:
- Emerging technologies/startups
- Market trends, including access and industry
- Medicaid/AT trends/data/providers
- International AT considerations
- Recommend actions based on research data
- Report weekly to CEO
Requirements
A genuine interest in the mission of 3DA
Have at least one of the following experiences:
- Assistive technology industry experience
- University research position in AT, RE, or closely aligned
- Working with or at the ACL, ATAP, Medicaid, or other relevant governmental organizations
- Credentials such as ATP, PhD, or other relevant credentials
Must have all of the following:
- Communication skills
- Organization skills
- Must be comfortable working/communicating in a remote setting
