Role Description: For the Cause is seeking a passionate, organized, and relationship-driven Assistant Director to join our leadership team. Working alongside the Director of Operations, this position will help oversee Teen Center operations, lead Prevention & Diversion programming, support staff and volunteers, strengthen community partnerships, and coordinate grant-funded initiatives that create meaningful opportunities for young people.
The Assistant Director will also play a key role in data collection, attendance tracking, documentation, and outcome reporting, helping ensure program quality and grant compliance while using data to strengthen services and measure impact. Success in this role requires someone who is equally comfortable building relationships with young people as they are improving systems, analyzing data, and ensuring grant requirements are met.

Responsibilities
- Support the Director of Operations in the overall management and growth of Teen Center programs and services.
- Help oversee daily operations to ensure programs run smoothly, safely, and effectively.
- Supervise and support Program Coordinators, volunteers, and other program staff as needed.
- Assist with program planning, implementation, scheduling, and evaluation.
- Coordinate and monitor grant-funded initiatives, including data collection, documentation, and reporting requirements.
- Track attendance, referrals, program outcomes, and other required data.
- Maintain organized records and support compliance with grant and organizational requirements.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with youth, families, schools, and community partners.
- Coordinate referrals and help connect youth and families with appropriate resources and supports.
- Represent For the Cause at meetings, community events, and partnership activities.
- Support volunteer recruitment, training, and coordination efforts.
- Assist with organizational initiatives, special projects, and strategic priorities.
- Help develop and improve internal systems, processes, and procedures.
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and youth-centered environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Education, Nonprofit Management, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred; equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Experience working with youth, families, schools, community-based programs, or nonprofit organizations.
- Experience with data collection, documentation, reporting, or program evaluation preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, community partners, and families.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other technology platforms.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to obtain required background clearances.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $38,000–$41,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

- Schedule: Approximately 36-40 hours per week. This position includes a combination of daytime and evening hours, with occasional weekend hours for special events and community activities.
