HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
This position supports
Safe Families for Children (SFFC), a national, research-informed child abuse prevention programoperatingin 40 states. SFFC surrounds families in crisis with caring, trained volunteers who provide short-term hosting for children, mentoring, and practical support while parents stabilize. Our core goals are to prevent child abuse and neglect during times of family crisis,create extended support systems that help parents buildstabilityandkeepfamiliessafelytogether.
The Program Manager is responsible for leading the growth and implementation of the Safe Families for Children program in the Treasure Valley and oversight of our new Parent Café model, designed to strengthen parent leadership and peer support. The ideal candidate is mission-driven, highly relational, detail-oriented, and experienced in working with at-risk children and families.
- Manage family intakes and Requests for Help; oversee placement decisions and crisis response
- Supervise and support volunteer Family Coaches, ensuring consistent care and guidance for families in crisis, including ensuring completion of andoverseeingvolunteer home studies and ensuring safety and welfare checks for children involunteerhost homes.
- Provide 24-hour on-call support as part of the leadership team, ensuring safe andtimelyresponses when children are placed
- Facilitate the monthly Parent Café in collaboration with community partners, fostering meaningful conversations, andequipparents with training and support to become peer leads
- Ensure full compliance with the Safe Families National Fidelity Model, includingaccuratereporting and adherence toestablishedprogram standards
- Partner with Program Coordinator and Ministry Leads to recruit, train, and sustain volunteers through local churches and faith-based networks
- Develop and lead training sessions for Family Coaches and support Program Coordinator with church teams and community volunteers
- Build and nurture strong relationships withlocal service providers, schools, and referral partners as well aschurch partners and volunteers to ensurea sustainable circle ofsupport systems for families
- Overseeaccurateprogram data trackingtoensure compliance with reporting and grant requirements.
Maintain and update community resourcesdirectoryforfamiliesand volunteers
- Responsible forensuringdebriefs,PFS2surveys and exit interviews with families and volunteers are completed to inform program improvement
- Support continuous process improvement for program safety, efficiency, and effectiveness
- Supervise MSW interns, providing orientation, training, and ongoing mentorship.
