Position Overview
The Youth Engagement Ministry Staff will minister to youth and families involved in the local Youth for Christ Youth Engagement program.
This position is for 30-40 hours per week, and the salary and program funds are raised by the worker through personal ministry partnerships.
The Youth Engagement staff is responsible for daily programming for youth. Duties include managing and supervising volunteers, connecting with youth, serving local schools as needed, planning programs, fundraising, maintaining donor relationships, and casting vision to reach program goals and impact markers.
Under the guidance of the Director of Youth Engagement, the Youth Engagement Ministry Staff are empowered to:
Implement overall ministry through evangelism, mentorship, and discipleship. Participate in planning and engaging offsite programs.
Meet regularly with the supervisor, attend staff meetings, and pray for other staff.
Recruit and orient volunteers, providing prayer support, resources, and encouragement.
Participate in fundraising by maintaining healthy donor relationships and assisting with CAYU/YFC fundraising events.
Communicate with parents of involved students. Represent CAYU/YFC positively to the community and collaborate with other agencies and ministries.
Complete monthly Ministry Reports, adhere to staff policies, and follow health and safety requirements.
Pursue an active, growing relationship with God through participation in a local church community and small group or mentoring relationships.
