YOUTH AND YOUNG PROFESSIONAL OUTREACH COORDINATOR
SUPERVISOR:RLM President
OBJECTIVE:To further develop adynamicyouth outreach program for middle schools, high schools, colleges, and young professionals to move this demographic to a pro-life position and ultimately pro-lifeleadershipand activism.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Broaden and implement existing RLM plans for outreach to middle schools, high schools, colleges, and young professionals. (School outreach and group development should include public, private, and homeschool groups and associations.)
Train and encourage RLM’s affiliates in creating and/or maintaining programs for young people in these demographics.
Increase involvement of young professionals on RLM Affiliate boards and RLM’s programs.
Network RLM affiliates with existing pro-life groups on college campuses.
Identify students to create new groups at their schools and young professionals to create new groups in their geographic or professional areas.
Increase opportunities for educational engagement and civic-related activities on campuses.
Maintain positive relationships with like-minded organizations involved with pro-life youth on the local, state, and national levels.
Public speaking at youth and other pro-life educational events.
Manage and evaluate RLM’s existing student contests, including the Oratory Contest and Youth Award, and explore the creation of new contests.
Review present RLM materials for students and youth outreach, develop new materials as needed, and increase avenues of distribution.
Develop metrics for measuring RLM growth within the defined demographic.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Initial, basic understanding and agreement with RLM prolife positions, as well as RLM organizational focus, with a commitment to quickly broaden that understanding.
Outgoing and engaging public presence.
Able to travel throughout the state. A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are necessities.
Excellent writing,communication, and organization skills.
Bachelor’s Degree and/or educational work experience.
COMMITMENT:This individual must be committed to the pro-life philosophy of RLM with a willingness to maintain currenteducationon pro-life issues. Some evening and/or weekend work will be required.
TRAINING & PREPARATION:This individual will receive adequate training upon hire with direction from appropriate advisers and training in basic organization skills and RLM projects.
EVALUATION:With newly hired individuals, an evaluation will be conducted after the first three months are completed; thereafter, an evaluation once a year by the President.
