TITLE:Worship Leader

REPORTING:Worship Director

STATUS:Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Budgeted hours for Service Locations:

10 hrs/ week Eldersburg campus
10 hrs/ week Hampstead campus
12.5 hrs/ week at Westminster campus

POSITION

DESCRIPTION:

Leads people to life-changing faith in Christ as the primary liaison between the worship vocalists at the campus level and the central Worship Director.

CHARACTER:

Has a clear call of God to lead the people of their community to Jesus Christ. Demonstrates the qualities of a follower of Jesus Christ, with a passion to love God and love others. Shows a strong commitment to living out Crossroad’s values and beliefs in everyday life. Possesses characteristics that include humility, teachability, organization,teamwork, discernment, wisdom, time management, and strategic agility.

Must work well with others.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Build Volunteer Team:
Invest in volunteers to equip and encourage the individual and the team’s growth in Christ, aligned with the mission of Crossroads. Support the volunteer equipping and on-boarding process.

Participate in Special Events:
Help organize and execute special events as directed.

Participate on Teams:
We are one church. Passionately participate on both campus level and church-wide teams as needed to carry out the mission and vision of the church.

OBJECTIVE:Working in a dual role as Worship Leader/ Band Leader or working alongside the Band Leader, support the successful execution of rehearsal, services, and events according to the vision of the central Service Programming Team.

DUTIES:

Provide spiritualleadershipfor the worship team for scheduled rehearsals, services, and events.

Run rehearsals either with the Band Leader or in a dual Worship Leader/ Band Leader role.

Lead worship services and other Crossroads events.

Receive the service plan and execute the program plan with the team.

Know the plan for call to worship, including who delivers, script content, and timing.

Communicate an understanding of service flow and transitions.

Provide input to the Worship Director for song keys and arrangements.

Cultivate a culture of Christ-centered joy, servanthood, and partnership among the worship team members.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience:

Demonstrated ability to work well with people, lead teams and individuals, manage multiple priorities, navigate technology tools, work with musicians or work well alongside a Band Leader, and understand the Crossroads adult discipleship process.

Requirements:
Membership at Crossroads Community Church and affirmation of the mission, vision, values, and beliefs of Crossroads.

WORK SCHEDULE:Availability for rehearsals, services, meetings, and tasks must be consistent and mutually agreed upon with the Worship Director.
