We are looking for 2 Wilder Communities Officers to inspire and enable more people than ever to take action for nature across Nottinghamshire.
Responsibilities
- Lead the established youth activism programme comprising volunteering, campaigning and advocacy, and create more opportunities for young people to play a part in nature’s recovery.
- Work with communities across the south of the county, including at our flagship Attenborough Nature Reserve and Nottingham city, to inspire and support community‑led action for nature.
- Develop trusted reciprocal partnerships, work with volunteers, and prioritise opportunities for those with the least access to nature.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Trust to support the growth of the Wilder Nottinghamshire Network.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience of working with young people in community settings and a strong commitment to youth work principles.
- Experience of community‑organising principles, developing activities and programmes that respond to community need.
- Experience developing partnerships, working with volunteers, and a strong commitment to equity and inclusion.
- A strong commitment to influencing positive change for nature.
- Both posts require an Enhanced DBS Check, a driving licence, and the ability to travel across the county.
