Role Overview
We are seeking anentrepreneurialandresults-drivenVice President of Growthto spearhead business development efforts. Thisleadershiprole will drive client acquisition, build strategic partnerships, and position Onyx Nonprofit Strategies for continued growth.

As a startup, this position is not for the faint of heart.While the opportunity to shape the company’s future is immense, the infrastructure and resources typical of larger corporations are still being built—we’re“building the plane as we fly it.”This is anexciting, ground-floor opportunity for someone who thrives indynamicenvironments and is ready to be part of the foundational team.

The position is commission-based, offering a percentage of new business secured (to be determined). As Onyx grows, this role is envisioned to evolve into a full-timesalary + commissionposition, with the opportunity to build and lead a team.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development:
Proactively identify and secure new consulting engagements across non-profits, churches, and government agencies.

Strategic Partnerships:
Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to expand Onyx’s reach and reputation.

Lead Generation:
Collaborate withleadershipto leverage existing leads and networks while creating strategies for new outreach.

Client Engagement:
Understand prospective clients’ unique needs and align Onyx’s services to deliver tailored solutions.

Sales Execution:
Drive revenue by converting prospects into long-term, high-value clients.

Startup Collaboration:
Work closely with the CEO to innovate and adapt processes, contributing to Onyx’s infrastructure as we grow.

Qualifications

Proven experience in business development, sales, or fundraising, preferably in the non-profit or consulting sector.

Entrepreneurialmindset with the ability to work independently in a startup environment.

Flexibilityandadaptabilityto thrive in a growing company with evolving processes.

Strongcommunication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Understanding of non-profit operations, fundraising strategies, and organizational development is a plus.
