CollabED is built entirely by and led by volunteers. Educators, former educators, and people who care about the teaching profession. No one here is getting paid. We’re doing this because teachers deserve better.
We have open roles right now across community, content, operations, and media. Most are 2 to 5 hours a week, fully remote, and flexible. Here’s what we’re looking for:
Channel Captains — You own a discussion channel on collabed.org. You post twice a week, spark conversations, welcome new members, and set the tone. This is for people who love building community and can show up consistently.
Outreach and Onboarding Specialist — You’re often the first real human voice a new member hears. You reach out to educators, guide them into the platform, and follow up to make sure they feel at home. Relationship-first, always.
Resource Curator (The Stacks) — You find, evaluate, and organize teaching resources for our national library. Great for someone who loves digging into tools and strategies and wants to share what they know.
Podcast Editor — You take raw recordings from our Built By Educators podcast and turn them into polished episodes and short clips for social media. Audio editing experience required.
Social Media Partner — You help schedule and publish content across LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X. You monitor engagement and make sure our voice stays consistent: warm, real, and educator-centered.
Development and Funding Partner — You support grant research, donor outreach, and fundraising strategy. Strong writing skills and an interest in nonprofit funding go a long way here.
Director of ThriveED — You lead our educator wellness platform. ThriveED exists because teacher wellbeing is not a bonus feature. It’s core to everything we do. This role shapes what that looks like for our community.
Content Specialist — You create and manage content across the CollabED ecosystem. If you can write in a voice that sounds like a real person and not a press release, we want to talk.
Teacher Mentor (PartnerED) — You show up for educators who are earlier in their journey than you. You listen, guide, and connect. No certification required. Just experience and genuine care.
