The Borgen Project is an international organization working to improve living conditions for those affected by war, famine, and poverty. With 20 years of experience, it advocates for making poverty a focus of U.S. and U.K. foreign policy.

Writer/Journalist Program

This role involves creating content for BORGEN Magazine or The Borgen Project Blog. It is a part-time, unpaid, remote program of 12 hours per week for 12 weeks. You can work ahead to complete the program sooner if needed.

Responsibilities include:

Article writing

Researching topics

Supporting advocacy efforts

Assisting with fundraising by creating personal campaigns and meeting targets

Qualifications

No prior experience is necessary. Passion for fighting poverty and making a difference is what matters most.

Details

This is an unpaid program, with college credit available. Programs start monthly, and you can choose your start date.

Additional Information

Part of Volunteer Match and Linked In for Good partnerships. The role is at the associate level within the fields of marketing, public relations, and writing/editing, in civic and social/non-profit sectors.
