Help care for the cats in the adoption center!
Volunteers must be at least 18 years old (but not younger than 14 years old), or accompanied by an adult.
We ask for a commitment of 2 evenings per month – same evening every other week. WE NEED WEEKEND HELP!
A shift can take 2-3 hours. Work with a friend and have fun caring for and playing with our cats!
Clean cages, provide fresh food & water
Give cats much needed playtime and love
Take photos and post online to help our cats find their furever homes
Description
Fancy Cats Rescue Team is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1997. We are a completely volunteer-run non-profit, no-kill cat rescue. Our mission is to end needless euthanasia at shelters in the National Capital area by rescuing and finding suitable lifetime homes for our cats, promoting spaying and neutering, and educating the public on responsible pet ownership.
We provide adoption, rescue, and education services by finding suitable lifetime homes for our cats, rescuing cats on death row at local shelters, and educating the public on responsible pet ownership.

It takes about 2-3 hours to clean, and we schedule/assign volunteers a specific night every other week that works with their schedule and our needs.
We are looking for long-term volunteers, at least a 6 month commitment please.
