It’s important that the individual is absolutely confident and enthusiastic to bring their expertise and share with the board of trustees to help the charity to progress further. Flexibility to go an extra mile (subject to availability) to support the organisation should there be a need.
What will you be doing?
This is a volunteer role for a Treasurer who sits on the board of trustees. The individual will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of the organization, including budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Daily tasks may include monitoring financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and providing financial guidance to the board of directors. Qualifications Financial management, budgeting, and financial reporting skills Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance Experience in monitoring financial transactions and preparing financial statements Ability to provide financial guidance to the board of directors Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Experience in nonprofit financial management is a plus Experience in Finance, Accounting, or related field Commitment The board meet 4x per year so the treasurer is expected to provide a financial overview of the charity at each meeting to provide an in depth understanding of the charity’s income and expenditure to ensure close monitoring and compliance of spending. Estimated 4 hours a month contribution to the charity. The role will mainly be remote with occasional trustee meetings taking place in London.
