Job Summary:
As the HR & Talent Acquisition Manager for the Veteran Project Manager Mentor Alliance (VPMMA), you will play a key role in recruiting, onboarding, and engaging volunteers to ensure a meaningful and rewarding experience. Working closely with the Director of HR and the Volunteer Manager, you will support volunteer retention, recognition, and engagement efforts to strengthen our mission of empowering veterans, service members, and military spouses in their project management careers.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a military background or a strong passion for serving the military community. This volunteer role requires a commitment of 5-10 hours per week for at least six months.
Duties:
Support Volunteer Recruitment & Onboarding – Assist in tracking applicants, updating job descriptions, coordinating interviews, and ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
Enhance Volunteer Engagement & Retention – Check in with volunteers, address concerns, and foster a sense of belonging within the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
Military affiliation (veteran, active duty, spouse, or supporter) strongly preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Passion for supporting veterans and military families
Ability to work independently while collaborating with the team
