Position: Volunteer Role Supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ Youth
Become a Volunteer with Friends of Ruby and help enhance the lives of 2
SLGBTQIA+ youth. Support critical services and create impactful change.
Friends of Ruby is looking for dedicated Volunteers to assist 2
SLGBTQIA+ youth aged 16-29. This role provides opportunities to engage in mental health services, cooking meals, and facilitating community programs. Your work will play a key part in establishing a supportive environment where every voice counts. Flexible scheduling options allow for widespread participation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Engage young individuals during community programming
• Help provide nutritious meals in the Drop-In Centre
• Promote supportive interactions and community inclusion
• Work collaboratively with our dedicated staff
• Assist in organizing events that benefit youth
Requirements:
• Interest in advocating for 2
SLGBTQIA+ issues
• Experience working or volunteering in community settings is beneficial
• Some roles may require a Vulnerable Sector Check
• Need for a 12-month gap since last service access
• Flexible hours are encouraged to enhance involvement
