The Ask:
Since we launched, we have successfully paired hundreds of volunteers and clients in need. We are seeking an experienced writer (blogger) and researcher who can create, edit, and post content so we can help reach the many hundreds more who are in need of Tutoria’s services. The blogger will be responsible to:
Craft original content: Generating, researching, and pitching ideas for posts. Writing, editing, publishing, and promoting content.
Provide guidance on social media channels: Monitoring responses to posts via the website, social media, or other platforms to better understand the audience.
Help ensure search engine optimization (SEO): Maximizing site traffic by utilizing Search Engine Optimization keywords.
We have set up accounts across multiple social media platforms and implemented a workflow plan to create, publish and promote new content across all channels. The volunteer will work with other teammates to create engaging and impactful content for Tutoria.

Description
Tutoria connects people in need with volunteer tutors via our online platform. Volunteers and clients sign up at (Use the “Apply for this Job” box below). They select their interests (English tutoring, US Citizenship, or legal aid) and availability. They then connect with one another via direct message.
Why Tutoria? There is a strong demand from immigrants for education and legal services around the world. There is also a large supply of volunteers offering to teach such classes. The bottleneck is that connecting immigrants and volunteers is done manually by non-profit staff, who do not have the capacity to provide matching/scheduling services. As a volunteer, you will not only create a social impact by helping us meet this need;
you will benefit personally by working closely with a passionate group of volunteer professionals, including Tutoria’s leadership.
