Ecumenical Partnership for Housing is a nonprofit organization serving families with children facing homelessness in Brown County. In partnership with 22 area churches, we have three areas of focus: transitional housing, long-term supportive housing, and eviction prevention. Our mission is to provide safety, stability, and solutions leading to self-sufficiency for the families we serve in the community.
Position Summary: The Volunteer & Office Coordinator is responsible for managing the EPH volunteer program and supporting general office operations.
Responsibilities:
Identify volunteer needs and opportunities within the organization.
Recruit, train, engage, and retain volunteers.
Represent EPH at volunteer recruitment and community awareness events.
Plan and participate in volunteer recognition events.
Create and implement a volunteer thank you program.
Develop and maintain volunteer handbooks and orientation materials.
Conduct new volunteer orientation meetings monthly or as needed.
Lead volunteer meetings monthly for EPH Unit Coordinators.
Communicate project needs and completions to volunteers regularly.
Manage volunteer schedules and ensure supplies are set up for volunteers working on homes.
Participate in Volunteer Manager networking groups or other professional groups as appropriate on behalf of EPH.
Track volunteer data throughout the year.
Serve as the first point of contact at EPH by answering the door and office phone.
Manage and replenish office supply inventory.
Enter data and generate thank you letters (tax receipts) for donors weekly.
Organize and oversee bulk mailings throughout the year to donors.
Respond to inquiries regarding in-kind donations.
Other duties related to volunteer coordination or general office support as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum of one year of experience as a volunteer coordinator or related position.
Minimum of one year of experience performing general office duties.
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of our volunteer program.
Must have a driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
Must be comfortable working in a faith-based environment.
EPH offers a generous benefits package for all full-time employees. This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week.
