Choice Family Health Care is seeking a dedicated Volunteer Board Member to help guide our mission in central Nebraska.
As a non-profit healthcare clinic, we provide affordable, high-quality reproductive health, family planning, and preventative medical services to individuals and families throughout the area. This is an uncompensated, volunteer role perfect for a community leader looking to make a lasting civic impact.
What You Will Do
- Provide Governance: Oversee organizational direction, strategic planning and ensure the financial health of the organization.
- Support the Mission: Advocate for accessible community reproductive healthcare and associated projects. Raise funds to support the mission of the organization.
- Ensure Compliance: Review annual budgets, ensure legal responsibilities, and other compliance functions for the organization.
- Attend Meetings: Participate in monthly evening board meetings and occasional events or work groups.
What We Look For
- Community Focus: Passion for public health & nonprofit work
- Expertise: Backgrounds in fundraising, board development, healthcare, law or finance are highly valued.
- Commitment: Willingness to serve a multi-year term (typically 3 years), while being accountable, reliable and supportive of the agency mission.
- Location: Live or work in the Grand Island/Kearney area to effectively represent our patient base.
